Suki Deng
Director, Cat and Dog Welfare, China
Suki Deng, based in Chengdu, China, is responsible for the overall management of the cat and dog welfare project in China. She led the project team to formulate strategies and actions for a variety of cat and dog welfare issues in mainland China, and has been a relentless force in improving the living conditions for cats and dogs in mainland China and advocating for cat and dog welfare.
Suki joined Animals Asia in 2006 and began with our "Doctor Dog" project in Chengdu. She participated in and witnessed the development and growth of Animals Asia’s China cat and dog welfare project. Suki is also a member of the Rabies Working Committee of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association.
Suki has a deep understanding of China's social culture and dog/cat welfare issues, so as to better lead the team to formulate targeted strategies and take effective actions. Suki has always been passionate about philanthropy in China. Looking at the rapid development of China's philanthropy field and the increase in public awareness in recent years, she believes that in the near future, the concept of "caring for animals and treating living beings with kindness" will become a part of daily life among the general public.
