So nice to be back in Australia last month, and meeting up with friends and supporters who are helping us so passionately in our spearhead campaigns.

A wonderful private dinner in Melbourne with thanks to all who came along, and then on to Perth for the most amazing event planned and hosted by Animals Asia's WA Support Group. The venue was quite the most unique that our Australia Director Anne Lloyd Jones and I have ever attended - at Perth City Farm.

There, our special and very talented, celebrity chef Ambassador, Simon Bryan, cooked up an amazing vegetarian spread for over 100 people and spoke movingly about his trip to China. Simon is probably the most self effacing and humble celeb of them all, but even he couldn't resist a smile when he got a standing ovation for his speech and for his delicious home cooked, animal friendly food.

Thanks too, to some really generous sponsors of wine and other goodies, all of which had been lovingly hand wrapped by our very generous support group members. With endless thanks to Anne Ockwell, Elizabeth Hacker, Cheryl Barnes, Siegfried and Dale Pleml, Jill Barton, Keith Shepherd, Kimese Spencer, Alice Rae, Zane Alexander and Lynley Black for pulling the whole event together, and to chef Sophie Budd of Taste Budds Cooking School who worked so hard with Simon in the kitchen throughout the event.
