Since arriving at Animals Asia’s award-winning sanctuary in Chengdu, China in the spring of 2021, these moon bears have been enjoying all of the comforts of sanctuary life; nutritious food, veterinary care, and most excitingly of all, access to spacious enclosures to explore, play and forage in.

Phoenix is one of this group of over 100 bears who had known nothing but the confines of an ex-bile farm for many years. Thanks to your kindness, Phoenix and her friends are experiencing magic moments every single day. This is the power of Kindness in Action.

You’ve made every step out onto soft, lush grass possible. You gave these precious bears a whole new world when all they knew was a world of concrete and cages. You changed their lives forever and we can’t thank you enough.

2022 marks a key moment in achieving Animals Asia's founding goal: ending bear bile farming. In Vietnam, we’re almost there. This is our biggest challenge yet, but Phoenix and friends prove that your love moves mountains for moon bears. Thank you for coming with us on this journey and for building a miraculous future for animal welfare in Asia.
